Finished my first play through of this game today (30th June 2024), and man… What roller coaster of an experience this was. Took me maybe 2 days to finish Detroit: Become Human, but I was HOOKED on every moment that was happening. Couple that with quite an underrated sound-track, some good philosophy, and Hamza is a happy boi.

So firstly maybe, calling this a “game”, is quite a misnomer, just as calling What Remains of Edith Finch a game is not entirely correct. While Detroit… certainly has more game-y elements to it, what this really is is more like an interactive movie. You play a series of chapters that is part of the overall story, and most decisions you take impact the story ahead, giving you many branching mini-stories and therefore endings. In many ways, this is kinda what I would want Bandersnatch from Black Mirror to be experienced, where the decisions you take on behalf of the characters change the narrative you see on Netflix - even though the actual version is an excellent experience as well.

Onto the main plot then,

Ze Plot

The game is set in the year 2038, where “androids” are now a daily part of life for humans around the world. These androids are created by various companies/countries, and are exceptional pieces of technology that perfectly imitate humans. There are three characters you play as in the game, Connor, Kara, and Markus.
