Weird how such a poignant sentence can come from a video game.
I like the implications of this statement. I don’t think of it as an absolute, but rather as a guiding principle in multiple aspects of life.
Personally speaking, I do struggle with the spiritual or religious aspects of life. It gets quite exhausting trying to climb both metaphorical trees at the same time. Both being, a religious thought process (Islam, in my case) and a more “scientific” thought process. The easier way is to just pick one, but that’s not really life. It ain’t ever easy.
Someday, there has to be a reckoning, which tree I will ultimately climb. Or, I find a way to get the two trees to grow really close together to keep both my halves happy.
